Getting Started
Welcome to MiniTube! To start using MiniTube, create a channel or sign in. You can then watch videos, subscribe to channels, and upload your own videos.
- Sign in or create a channel using the "Sign In or Create Channel" form.
- Search for videos using the search bar at the top.
- Upload videos by going to "Your Channel" and clicking the "+" button.
Account & Channels
Manage your MiniTube account and channel easily.
- Change Channel Name: Currently, changing channel names is not supported.
- Log Out: Click the "Log Out" button in the header to sign out.
- Subscriptions: Subscribe to other channels using the "Subscribe" button on their channel pages.
Uploading Videos
To upload videos to MiniTube:
- Go to "Your Channel" and click the red "+" button at the bottom right.
- Enter the video title and select a video file (MP4, MOV, or other supported formats).
- Click "Upload" to add the video to your channel.
- Click "Cancel" to close the upload form without uploading.
Watching Videos
Click on any video card to open the video panel. Here you can:
- Play videos in full view.
- Like or dislike videos using 👍 / 👎 buttons.
- Add comments using the 💬 Comment button.
- See recommended videos based on the current video.
- Close the panel by clicking the red "X" button.
FAQs
Make sure you've entered a title and selected a valid video file. Supported formats include MP4 and MOV. The file must be smaller than your browser's upload limit.
Go to the channel page and click the "Subscribe" button. Click again to unsubscribe.
Videos are saved locally in your browser storage. Make sure you haven't cleared your browser's local storage, which will remove uploaded videos.
Currently, MiniTube does not support deleting videos, but this may be added in future updates.
